Who Wants To Be Average Anyway?

Have you ever wondered if you're 'average' ? Whatever 'average' is (!)

To be honest, there's not really such a thing as an 'average' IBDer, the conditions can hit people in so many different ways that to categorise them would be fruitless.

That said, we did an infographic based on the responses from the 1,081 young people who filled out our survey at the beginning of the year. So... how do you compare?

One thing we know is slightly off-key is the number of Crohnies to UCers who responded to the survey - in 'real life' Ulcerative Colitis is more common than Crohn's Disease.

  • Ulcerative Colitis affects 1 in 500 people in the UK
  • Crohn's Disease affects 1 in 1000 people in the UK
